जीव जाने बिना
... रहे जीवन व्यर्थ रे
बने पावन जीवन
... जब जाने आतम-राम रे

जीव जाने बिना..... (१)

किस-किसकी करें तू, जान पहचान रे
... न संभले तुझसे तेरी, ढलती याददाश्त रे
व्यर्थ है रीत प्यारे, सारे संसार की
... न पाएगा कुछ जो, न पहचाना स्वयं को (२)

जीव जाने बिना..... (२)

देख रहा गुजरता यौवन
... करता दुःख तू रुक-रुक कर
भौतिक सु:ख में डूबता रहा
... पर बच न पाया चिंता से तू (२)

जीव जाने बिना..... (३)

करि चर्चा देश-विदेश की
... पाईं ख्याति खूब रे
पर रहा खोखला जी तेरा
... इच्छाएं न हुईं पूरी रे (२)

जीव जाने बिना..... (४)

जो न जाना स्वयं को
... तो दिखे गलतियां हर एक में
होवे अनुभूति स्वः की
... तो जाने ईश्वर सभी को (२)

जीव जाने बिना..... (५)

भूल जा अपना नाम धाम
... न तेरा कुछ इस संसार में
रुक ही जा पल भर रे
... अपने ही स्वभाव में (४)

જીવ જાણ્યા વિના
... રહે જીવન વ્યર્થ રે
બને પાવન જીવન
... જ્યારે જાણે આતમ-રામ રે

કોણ-કોણાની કરે તૂ, જાણ ઓળખાણ રે
... ન સચવાય તારાથી તારી, ઢળતી યાદદાસ્ત રે
વ્યર્થ છે રીત ભયલા, આખા સંસાર ની
... ન પામીશ કશું જો, ન ઓળખસે સ્વયં ને (૨)

જીવ જાણ્યા વિના..... (૨)

જોઇ રહ્યો પસાર થતો યૌવન
... કરતો દુઃખ તૂ રહીં-રહીં ને
ભૌતિક સુઃખ માં ડૂબતો રહ્યો
... પણ બચી ન શક્યો ચિંતા થી તૂ (૨)

જીવ જાણ્યા વિના..... (૩)

કરી ચર્ચા દેશ-વિદેશ ની
... પામી ખ્યાતિ ખુબ રે
પણ રહ્યો ખોખલો જી તારો
... ઈચ્છાઓ ન થઇ પૂરી રે (૨)

જીવ જાણ્યા વિના..... (૪)

જો ન જાણ્યો સ્વયં ને
... તો દેખાય ભૂલો દરેક માં
હોવે અનુભૂતિ સ્વઃ ની
... તો જાણે ઇશ્વર બધા ને (૨)

જીવ જાણ્યા વિના..... (૫)

ભૂલી જા પોતાનું નામ ધામ રે
... ન તારું કંઈક આ સંસાર માં
રોકાઈ જા તો પલ ભર
... પોતાના જ સ્વભાવ માં (૪)

Without knowing Life

Pranam.

Without knowing Life/soul/Self/Atam-Ram/Him-within
... life remains lived in vain
Life becomes sacrosanct
... as one experiences Him-within

Without knowing Life..... (1)

Who's-who's acquaintance do you seek to indulge in
... You have no control on your declining memory
In vain are the ways dear, of the entire world
... You will gain absolutely nothing, if you don't come to know yourself/Self-realization

Without knowing Life..... (2)

As you see youth pass away
... you feel sad on and off
You get deeper into indulgence of worldly pleasures
... But cannot save yourself from getting worried

Without knowing Life..... (3)

You discussed issues of nation and of foreign lands
... You gained a lot of fame
But your mind remained hollow
... As your desires never ceased

Without knowing Life..... (4)

If you don't come to know of Self
... Then you will see mistakes in everyone
Once you come to experience Him-within
... You will know everyone as God

Without knowing Life..... (5)

Forget your name and residence
... You have nothing of your own in this endless cycle of birth-misery-death
Stay put for a moment
... in your own pure eternal nature/experience the bliss of Him-within.
