Pilgrimage - JAINA Committee

MAIN OBJECTIVE

Our idea of Yatra is to deepen the spiritual bonds within our Jain community through our work by embarking on a sacred journey to five Jain temples located in a foreign nation outside of India. This pilgrimage is not merely a trip but a collective endeavor to fulfill our religious duties, strengthen our commitment to Jainism, and foster brotherhood among Jains across the globe.
To start with, we want to plan a visit to 3 Jain temples of Australia, 1 Jain temple of Auckland, NZ and 1 more Jain temple (either in Singapore, Hong Kong or Dubai – depending on logistics arrangement)

This will allow JAINA to bring Jains within North America to bond, connect, share and inspire Jainism to Sadharmiks in other Foreign nations
Our Committee will enable JAINA to offer one more forum to Sadharmiks to fulfill their duty of pilgrimage as well as Sadharmik bhakti
We Should gather atleast 200 Sadharmiks on this YATRA and have them learn/share how our Jainism is deepening its root in countries they have not been to before
A successful mission will help inspire Jains from other countries to visit North America’s Jain places of worship. It will help us learn/share various ways, means and best practices that people use to stay connected and rooted to our beloved Jinshashan

Create a team of atleast 4 more members, preferably from sangh’s with large Jain diaspora
Conduct our first overseas YATRA to 5 Jain temples of AU and NZ in an uneventful way
Provide opportunity Jain senior citizens to see Jainism outside North America. People who probably left India for US too young but are not at a stage where they cannot make long pilgrimages on their own (and there are no Jain piligrimage tour operators for foreign countries)
