Boston University (BU) and JAINA Academic Liaison Committee (JAINA-ALC) invite the community to hear BU's presentation about establishing a Jain Education Program and why the university is well-suited for the same. The presentation will take place on August 5th at 11 AM at JCGB in Norwood, MA, with BU representatives attending in person. The event is purely informational and not a fundraising activity. Yearning for the Divine by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji
One may wonder if it is necessary to pass through the phase of separation from the Divine. The saints say that the question whether it is essential to pass through that state is futile for the ignorant one is already in that state. You were, you are and will continue to be in that state if you do not work towards union.
The realization of being separate from the Divine marks the beginning of pain. If you begin to experience this pain, you are a devotee. The pain in turn, leads you to commence efforts to break the separation and experience oneness.

Establishing A Jain Education Program At Boston University
|
We are delighted to inform you that Boston University (BU), and JAINA Academic Liaison Committee (JAINA – ALC), are looking at the feasibility of eventually establishing a Jain Education program at BU.
You may be aware that -ALC and many visionary Jain leaders and supporters have thus far established over 40 different Jain academic and educational programs all over the world. These programs are in the form of endowed chairs, endowed professorships, post-doctoral fellowships, annual lectures on Jainism, and several other types of Jain educational programs.

We are inviting you to listen to BU’s presentation on why BU, with the help and support of the Jain community at large, is well suited for offering Jain study programs at BU.

108 Gruha Mandir Ki Yojna Antargat Pratham Jinalay Pratistha
During my last visit to India, I happened to visit the office of Jain World Centre in Mumbai. Its chairman is one who has given up all his relationship with family and all his wealth for the cause of Jainism.. even his name! He is called 'Bhaishree Jain'. He has taken a 'sankalp', a vow, to establish 108 compact Gruha Mandirs across India and Abroad at such places where there are small number of Jain families but have no Jain Temple upto 4 kms. Such temples, created in modern Apartments, can be up and running within 3-4 months of acquiring premises. He has been bestowed ashirvaad by many Gachchhadhipatis and Acharya bhagwants for same. He has a Team of 10 high profile social activists and is backed by 50 highly prominent leaders. Three Temples are already under execution. I have invited him to USA for jointly exploring similar possibilities in America. He is expected to visit in March-April 2024. He also runs a WhatsApp group called ijf Jinvaani group which is said to be the largest group among Jains with members across 14 countries.
