Thank you for your interest in learning about how you can support the Jain Digest Team. The Jain Digest has been providing value to the Jain Community with over 30 years. It is constantly reaching larger population not only in the US and Canada, but throughout the globe over several countries. Since 1985, JAINA has distributed over 100,000 copies to nearly 14,000 households in North America. 

As we know, to publish a high quality publication, we need a variety of skill sets and the support of people like you, who are willing to contribute their time and talents.

Note: This volunteer opportunity is only available to persons residing in North America (USA and Canada). 

Required Skill Sets

Marketing:

• Working with JAINA office regarding brand development, communications, and outreach

• Enjoy working with people

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Creativity and willingness to propose original ideas 

Content Development:

• Working on researching, writing, gathering, organizing, and editing information

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint 

Fundraising:

• Working on raising money for printing and distribution of publication

• Excellent people and social skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Design:

• Working on designing the graphics and layout of the publication

• Proficient in Photoshop and/or other image-editing programs

• Solid understanding of formal graphic design concepts, such as balance, proportion, scale, color, typesetting, etc.
