Inspirational opening ceremony talks...

The opening ceremony started with Gurdev Chitrabhanuji's guidance on how "you can be the torchbearers of Jain Dharma - not Jainism (as "ism" separates people)."  He encouraged the you youths to change their parents from being sectarian to just Jains.

Then Sramniji and Shrutpragyaji addressed the crowd.  Sramniji asked the youths to spend 2 minutes a day on themselves by "realizing that I am a Jain."

YJA 08 Convention - Chicago in full swing...

Over 600 Jain youths ages 14 to 29 started their three day journey towards an educational, inspirational, and captivating immersion in Generation Jain- Jainism Your Way. 

Youths who arrived early participated in several "ice-breaker" events to meet other youths.

After the opening ceremony and serving of healthy falafel dinner, the youths quickly dispersed to change in their colorful dresses for Garbha-Raas and ice cream social .
