Intern Task list

The following are the important tasks, in my opinion, to be done by the summer intern:

1. Database clean up  - remove duplicate and bogus e-mail addresses
2. Obtain mailing list/e-mail list from individual Jain Centers
3. Import them in jainlink as non-member or member by giving them default username/password
4. Establish processes to be used to maintain such list by individual Jain Centers/Jaina Director of each Jain Center.  

5. Contact Jaina Directors and train/educate them on Jaina.org facilities

6. Prepare training material for various functions of jaina.org portal

Tasks for Financial Planning Team

- Aid in logistics and preparation of marketing brochure for fundraising with specific target segments like grassroot/individual donors, corporates, high net worth individuals, other religious organizations, etc.

- Monthly reporting of donations/pledges received.

- Maintaining lists of Jain centres in North America and opening a communication channel with them for fundraising

- Manning the booth at Jaina convention for fundraising

- Performing background research on high net worth individuals who are potential donors and assisting in administration of setting up appointments and follow ups.

Position:  Paid Internship with JAINA for Summer 2010

Responsibilities:  To support and manage several key projects in communications, marketing, management, membership development, web presence, collateral development. Excellent opportunity to learn project management and outsourcing, latest web based tools,  and gain experience in developing marketing and promotion initiatives.  You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with some evening and weekend hours.

Background/Experience:  This position requires the following:
- Must be Undergraduate or Graduate college student
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Strong knowledge of computers and web based applications
- Access to a computer and Word, Excel, Powerpoint applications
- Knowledge of Jainism helpful
- Previous work experience helpful
- Must be self starter requiring minimal supervision
- Must be resident of North America

Salary: Based on candidate's background and experience this position the salary will be from $12 to $15/hour

Jain Centers - participation

Identify Jain Centers that require Jainlink support.  

Find 10 centers that don't have a web presence today that can benefit from Jainlink access and setting up their home page.   (5 house)

Once the center has been identified than find  a tech representative to manage their own page.
