I am pleased to inform you that JAINA is planning to take a delegation to the 2015 Parliament of World’s Religions being held on October 15 thru 19, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Parliament is offering a deep discount for the early bird registration and additionally a group discount for groups of 10+. Please see the rate table here. We believe there is enough interest to qualify for this group rate for all of us.

The rate is $189 for this category. But this rate expires by 10^th of the December.

Your check MUST BE RECEIVED in hand by December 9, 2014 as I need to process it and then make the registration for our group (requires single registration for the group). Also, please scan your copy of the check before you mail it out, so I can register you in case if your check is delayed for some reason.

Jains have always been at the

heart of the interfaith movement.

Jain lawyer Virchand Gandhi captivated the assembly of 3,000 religious leaders at the premiere 1893 World’s Parliament of Religions. Gandhi’s last-minute dispatch to this unprecedented event brought Jains into history as the world witnessed the birth of the interfaith movement.

Gandhi's achievement of becoming the chief exporter of Jainism from India places him among spiritual leaders credited for introducing Indian traditions to the United States.

From the centenary 1993 Parliament in Chicago until today, Parliaments are the powerhouse of the interfaith movement. In Cape Town, Barcelona, and Melbourne, Jains have always been visionary contributors to the mission of creating a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world. Read more about Parliament history...

What You Will Experience at the Parliament

Sharing beliefs and practices, learning from others, expanding networks
Pairing with other religions to present together the experience of working with each other for a just, peaceful and sustainable world
Collaborating on generating strategies to confront critical issues faced by humanity, such as climate change, hunger, poverty and violence

All of this will take place through hundreds of presentations, workshops, seminars, films, music, religious observances and performances. Several thousand people from around the world will submit proposals, which are assessed by several panels of experts.

Keynote speakers for the 2015 Parliament will include luminaries you will know including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr. Karen Armstrong, and rising stars of many sectors, including the sciences and technology. Major religious leaders, Nobel Laureates, and political leaders like President Mandela have addressed the Parliaments as well.

We invite you to become part of a Jain legacy in the Parliament from groundbreaker Virchand Gandhi in 1893 to the recently departed humanitarian icon Mahendra Mehta. Jains in the Parliament have helped carve the principles of the Global Ethic, demonstrate non-violence to the world, and will in 2015 set a new precedent for the future of the interfaith movement.
