This conference is hosted by JAINA LRP (Long Range Planning Committee), JERF (Jain Education and Research Foundation) and FIU (Florida International University). The objective for the conference is to create the future of Living and Sharing a Jain Way of Life in North America.
To meet the above objective, conference attendees will collaborate on: - Education – To share our vision and goals for the next 20 years
- Teams – New groups and partnerships to implement initiatives
- Tools – Access to a wealth of resources (web platform, finances, contacts, access to JAIN office/committees)for implementation of our vision
- Direction– To nurture a Jain Way of Life that is socially responsible.

Chairman and Co-founder, Syntel
Born in Kenya and raised in India, Bharat Desai attended the revered Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai and moved to the U.S. as a programmer for Tata Consultancy Services in 1976. Four years later, he founded Syntel with his wife Neerja Sethi while earning his M.B.A. from University of Michigan. Started as a bootstrap operation with $2,000, the IT consulting and outsourcing company went public in 1997, and it now employs over 21,000 people around the world. read more |
