Dear Sadharmik brothers and sisters,
Jai Jinendra!
🙏
|
Jain Connect is bringing back the Open Networking session
on August 15, 2021. The session will let you enter an interactive virtual space to mix and mingle. Jain Connect is also bringing the next Virtual Singles Mixer on August 29, 2021. Please register for
both events and spread the word with Jain singles around you.
This Paryushan, listen to the most inspiring speakers for 2021 Paryushan Parva - Rashtrasant Param Gurudev Shree Namramuni Maharaj Saheb and Shri Deepakbhai Bardoliwala who will give Pravachans in Hindi and Gujarati, respectively. During the Das Lakshana
Maha Parv, we will have a video class each day for about 30 minutes in Hindi and a written article with the significance of each day. Samvatsari Pratikraman Schedule is given below for your ready referance.
During Paryushan JAINA will rebroadcast one of the most admired items from the convention MAHAVIR - Ek Aloukik Katha - the musical that presents Mahavir's life from birth to Nirvana by the stavans composed by Shri Shantilal Shah more than 50 years ago. These stavans with elaborate costumes, dazzling settings, and scores of characters will keep you glued to your seats. Late Shri Shantilal Shah's grandson Dipak Shah presents the 2-hour program in Gujarati on JAINA.org platform on Sunday, September 5, at 8:00 pm EST 5:00 pm PST
Here's an opportunity to attend a virtual 6-month lecture series by Pujya Dr. Shri Arunvijayji Maharaj Saheb starts on Saturday, August 21st, 2021. They will conduct 12 classes in six months in the Hindi language. You can find the Zoom details below.
With the community support, JAINA has donated around $900,000 so far to reputable NGOs in India with proper FCRA. India is still fighting the battle against COVID-19. Many families have lost their loved ones, jobs, and are struggling to meet their basic
needs. I urge each one of you to come forward and make at least a small contribution to make a big difference in someone’s life. The donations JAINA receives are sent through reputable NGOs with proper
FCRA documentation. To donate, please click on Sadharmik Bhakti Fund Button given below.
Do you remember last year JAINA had protested against the desecration of Jain Pratimas in Live Nations/Founders Room Clubs? Well, we have good news that after many virtual discussions and an in-person meeting with Live Nation, they have moved all the
7 Pratimas from the Club floors in Las Vegas to their warehouses and have stored them properly. Hopefully, they will donate all the Pratimas to the Jain community by the end of this year.
In June, the Jain Fellowship of Houston had its annual Officer Elections. Watch the pictures from the JFH Banquet. JAINA congratulates the 2021JFH's new officers.
An inspirational graduation ceremony on August 8, 2021, at the Jain Center of New Jersey saw an unprecedented Graduation celebration of 91 students who studied Mahopadhyay Yashovijayji’s GNANSAR course that was conducted and guided by Shri Chandrakant Mehta.
The course consisted of 57 lectures over two and half years and periodic exams.
Please take an official JAINA's Jain Population Survey and encourage your families and friends to take the same. It will help us determine 1). The Jain population count in North America 2). If you would like to receive: JAINA Calendar, JAINA communications
with relevant Community news for Jain events and programs, etc. Consider this survey as very important bricklaying to connect with each one of us and to have a strong voice that brings value to our entire
community.
Please see below for details or links if any, on all the above items.
Sincerely,
Mahesh Wadher, JAINA President

Jain Pratimas in Las Vegas
Many of
you might remember that last year JAINA had protested against the desecration of Jain Pratimas in Live Nations/Founders Room Clubs in Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay) and other cities in the
USA. Since that time, we have had several zoom meetings with the Live Nations Corporation. On July 23, 2021, we met with them in person to discuss the issue.
The good news is that all the 7 Jain Pratimas have been moved from the Club floors in Las Vegas and are now stored properly in their warehouses. Currently, they are working to donate all of the 7 pratimas to the Jain community by the end of this year.
This is very good news and the success of the Jain community to preserve the religious sentiments of all Jains.
Watch the video "Respect Religion" that JAINA had created in 2020 to call out similar inappropriate acts against
any religion.

Over 200 people attended the ceremony that was conducted by two youngsters Dhruv Kothari and Dev Shah both 13 years old. They observed that usually parents attend graduation ceremonies
