On Thanksgiving day (November 23, 2023), amidst the traditional turkey feasts, JAINA joined with various organizations and numerous community supporters to prepare 5192 nutritious plant-based and Jain meals. These meals were compassionately distributed across more than 25 cities in Southern California, providing nourishment to homeless individuals, neglected children, and abused women and men. THANKS GIVING JAIN MEAL DISTRIBUTION
|
On Thanksgiving day (November 23, 2023), amidst the widespread slaughter of millions of turkeys, the JAINA family, under the leadership of Dr. Nitin Shah collaborated to prepare 5192 plant-based and Jain meals. This collective effort aimed to support the homeless, neglected, and abused individuals in over 25 cities across Southern California, orchestrated by 80 dedicated volunteers.
Comprising a 16 oz container featuring three-bean vegetable chili paired with a tostada and a donated protein bar from Power Crunch, these meals were a result of the Ahimsa Hot Meals Drive. The substantial undertaking, valued at $11,382 or $2.19 per meal, was realized through the generous support of sponsors such as the Joy of Sharing Foundation, JAINA, Sarva Mangal Family Trust, Wadher Family Foundation, Bhindi Jewelers, and the contributions received from our dedicated community members.

ANJAN SHALAKA OF JAIN TEMPLE OF LOS ANGELES
Exciting news from the Jain Temple of Los Angeles (JTLA)! From February 18th to 22nd, 2024, an Anjan-shalaka ceremony for their revered Prabhuji will take place at Shantigram, Adani in Ahmedabad. The Main Ghabhara at JTLA will feature Shankheshvar Parshvanath as the Mul Nayak, with Neminath and Munisuvrat Swami Pratimajis adorning each side.
During Anjan-shalaka, the process instills ARIHANT TATVA within the Pratimaji, transforming it into a 'Living God,' radiating blessings throughout its presence. Discover more about Ghee Boli opportunities for this event.
