JAINA VIDYA MANDIR, RAJGIR
JAINA Vidya Mandir
School: JAINA is setting up a modern Kindergarten to 12th Grade school with high quality infrastructure in Rajgir, Bihar, home of Veerayatan. Bhagwan Mahavir spent 14
rainy seasons here and it is the birthplace of our 20th Tirthankar Munisuvrat Swami. Rajgir is considered a Tirth because four Kalyanaks of Shri Munisuvtat Swami took place here.
All eleven Gañdhars of Shri Mahavirswami attained their salvation here. This is the land of King Shrenik, Shri Dhanna, Shri Shalibhadra, Shri Metraj, Shr Abhaykumar, Shri Jambu Swami
and Puniya Shravak. Rajgir was also a main place for Bhagwan Buddha.
The school will revive Jainism in the land by imparting Jain Sanskars to the hundreds of next generation youth. Rajgir is where Jainism flourished during lifetime of
Bhagwan Mahavir but today there are less than a handful of Jain families reside. The proposed school building and the campus will be well planned, spacious, functional and an impressive
façade. Both the Senior and Junior sections of the building will have well-appointed classrooms and the overall ambience will be such that it makes learning much more enjoyable. There
will be libraries where students can enhance their knowledge by referring to various books and online connectivity.
