Contemporary Jain Legend: Shrimad Rajchandraji Part 3 |
Shrimad did not have a spiritual teacher in his life. At the age of seven, when he was able to recall his past lives, he clearly remembered his association with Bhagwan
Mahavir in a previous life.
In 1891 A.D., at the age of 23, Shrimad realized Samyag darshan. He continued to enhance his progress by slowly detaching himself from the material world,
deeply studying scriptures, strengthening virtues, refraining from worldly pleasures, and remaining in meditation for longer durations. He started to stay at lonely
places outside Mumbai for more than a month at a time. In the beginning, there were many obstacles in his way because he needed to perform his duties as a householder
and as a businessman.

Inside October 2020 Jain Digest |
 How Preventive
Measures of Coronavirus apply to the Karma Virus by Ramesh Khandhar. In his article in October 2020 Jain Digest, Ramesh Khandhar from Los Angeles compares the Coronavirus
with the ‘Karma Virus’. He says, “As deadly as the Coronavirus is to our health, there is even a deadlier virus that we need to worry about – the Karma Virus. Whereas
the Coronavirus can ruin our current life, the Karma Virus can affect many of our lifetimes.”

The Spiritual and Health Benefits of Ayambil
During the festival of Navpad Oli, also known as Ayambil Oli, Jains typically complete a special kind of fast called Ayambil Tap. We hope that this video produced by YJA helps explain what Ayambil is and how it benefits the soul and the body, as well
as inspires you to complete Ayambil or give up a Laghu Vigai this Oli!
