My Intent to Forgive By Deven Shah
As Jains, we all understand that forgiveness is one of the most important virtues we must develop. Medical research and studies have shown how forgiveness can transform neural circuits in the brain for positive change. Mindful awareness, compassion, and forgiveness can help tap into our natural built-in healing powers. The mindfulness meditation shows the potential of forgiveness to connect with our inner joy. Science and spirituality appear to converge on the ideas of forgiveness.

Jain Sangh of Greater Austin Organised Swadhyay with Shri Srikumar Menon
The Jain Sangh of Greater Austin had the distinct privilege of hosting Swadhyaykar Shri Srikumar Menon from September 29th to October 4th, during which he delivered two enlightening lectures for adults, one on Friday evening and the other on Saturday morning, as well as a dedicated session for the older Pathshala students and young Sangh adults on Sunday. Srikumarji skillfully engaged with a diverse, multi-lingual audience, encompassing English, Hindi, and Gujarati speakers, facilitating interactive sessions that eliminated language barriers and provided a comprehensive understanding of complex subjects. His thought-provoking presentation left many with a fresh perspective on the practical application of Jainism in their daily lives. For the youth, his guidance on fostering spirituality, particularly regarding responsible resource usage, resonated deeply, offering logical and relatable insights.
Srikumarji's extensive knowledge extends beyond Jainism, encompassing Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. He boasts a deep understanding of all the Jin Agams and served as a speaker at the 2019 JAINA Convention in Los Angeles. As an honorary lecturer at the Center for Jain Studies at Somaiya College in Mumbai, he's been instrumental in creating www.nirgranth.in, a platform presenting fundamental and non-traditional perspectives on Jain Sutras. Following his sessions in Austin, Srikumarji continued his 2023 US Yatra, visiting Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Boston, spreading knowledge and inspiration.
