In a historic moment, Acharya Shree Dharma Dhurandhar Suri ji, on 21st May 2023, entered Pakistan through the Wagah border. He traveled on foot to the Lahore Museum, where the monuments & relics of Pujya Gurudev Vijay Vallabh Suri ji are preserved, and paid homage to the shrine of his Gurudev Shree Atmaram ji in Gujranwala. This is the first time after the 1947 partition that any Jain monk has ever traveled from India to Pakistan. This may lead to opening the spiritual tourism corridor from India to Pakistan for the followers of the Jain tradition. Please check the detailed coverage of this historic event below.

Acharya Shree Dharmadhurandhar Suri ji visits Lahore & Gujranwala in Pakistan

For the first time ever, after independence, a Jain saint has reached Pakistan to pay homage to his guru, whose shrine is in Pakistan. We salute the dedication, devotion, focus, and courage of our Gachadhipati Acharya Shri Vijay Dharam Dhurandhar Surishwar Ji Maharaj Sabeh as he has created history with his maiden Pakistan visit.

Gujranwala is where the Samadhi Mandir of the revered Jain saint Atmaram Ji is located. In 1896, he passed away in Gujranwala, Punjab. The shrine was used as a police station up to 2003. In 2019, the Government of Punjab in Pakistan declared it a protected monument.

What a wonderful sight it would have been to see Acharya Shri Dharma Dhurandhar Suri performing darshan of the Charan Paduka (Foot Imprints) of Shri Atmaram Ji Maharaj. preserved with an original cenotaph in Lahore Museum!

Siddhayatan Tirth, the holy pilgrimage site, and Tirthankar Mandir are now open to the public. The Tirth welcomes you and your family to experience the high energy of the temple the holy site pristine lake sourrounding hills, and activated murtis. Many attendees have already expressed the deep peace and lasting stillness felt at Siddhayatan Tirth. Original water from Lake Mansarovar and Lake Rakshastal has been mixed with the lake water at Siddhayatan Tirth, and the energy reflects the same. Here is a short report on the following four cultural events organized by the “School of Oriental and Asian Studies (SOAS), University of London.”

1. "Pure Soul" exhibition at Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and Asian Studies- SOAS- University of London.
2. One-day international conference on "Kanjiswami and Digambar Tradition."
3. One-hour film inauguration on Gurudev Shri Kanjiswami, produced by SOAS.
4. Three days of cultural event "Jainism Inside Out" organized by London Digambar Jain Temple.
