International Symposium Committee is honored to invite you to submit an abstract and subsequently a paper on the subject, ‘The Dating of Nirvan of Mahavir Swami’. Following are some of the points over which the world historians have been discussing for over a hundred years. Can you make a contribution?


  • What was the year of Mahavir Nirvana?
  • Based on Jain History, Indian History, Jain, Buddhist, and Hindu scriptures?
  • Based on the World historians? Based on archeology, inscriptions on the rocks, etc.

Please note:


  1. The last date to submit Abstracts is February 15, 2022.
  2. We are offering hard copies of important reference materials
  3. We are offering 11,000 INR to selected scholars for submitting scholarly prepared abstracts and papers
  4. We are offering travel, lodging, and boarding expenses for attending the symposium.
  5. Abstracts and papers can be presented in any Indian language if they meet the standards for international-level proceedings. Our Symposium Committee will prepare the summary and conclusions of papers written in other languages.
  6. Papers are due by April 30, 2022.

Papers should meet international standards for research, and use historical references and citations based on the original scriptures, inscriptions, etc.

Dr. Vijay Shah is a Sadhak taking small steps towards the journey of self-realization, with a focus on deep learning Jain concepts and practices. His interest includes Agam shastras, scholarly works on religious philosophies that evolved during 500 BC, and the practice of meditation. As a certified Yoga teacher, he loves to teach Meditative Yoga at a local fitness club. As a professional, Dr. Shah teaches in the area of business management, has several scholarly publications, and has organized several panel discussions on Spirituality.
