Dear Sadharmiks,
Jai Jinendra! Pranam!

With profound reverence, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all who embarked on the sacred journey of the JAINA 99 Yatra at Shree Shatrunjay Mahatirth. Your unwavering devotion, commitment, and dedication have illuminated the path for countless seekers. I am deeply grateful to the 68 devotees from North America and our cherished members from India for enriching this journey with unity and spiritual fervor. Special thanks to the JAINA 99 Yatra Committee volunteers and Chairman Shree Arvind Shah for his leadership, meticulous planning, and tireless efforts. Attached are glimpses of this profound journey, a testament to your solid spirit and dedication.

As we approach the end of 2023, I draw your attention to a historic event that occurred this year. A delegation of 18 members of the Jain community from India, including four Sadhu Maharaj, visited a few of the Jain Heritage Sites in Pakistan between 21st May to 7th June 2023 An article published in Jain Digest, penned by Ashwani Jain, the General Secretary at the Jain Heritage Foundation, provides us with details of the events, such as visits to the Lahore Museum and various rituals performed at the Jain temples. As of today, no Jain families are living in Pakistan. However, many Jain Heritage sites are spread across Pakistan, including several Jain Temples, Pratimajis, Upashray, Dharamshala, etc. Many Pratima and other remains of Jain Temples were found during excavation.

I want to draw quick attention to an “SPDC scheme” that benefits the Indian diaspora who wish to pursue Undergraduate courses (except medical courses) in Indian Universities/Institutes. The SPDC scheme provides them with financial assistance towards tuition fees, admission fees, and post-admission charges. This scheme is administered by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India, and the last date for AY 2023-24 is 24th December 2023. Please check more details below.

Please note that registration for the 3rd International Jain Conference, scheduled to be held on 20-21 Jan – 2024 at Ahmedabad, is open now. Please check the details below for more information about the events.

Sincerely and respectfully,

Haresh Shah,
JAINA President

JAINA Tree Plantation Project

JAINA Vaiyavach Committee has sponsored the plantation of 2,000 trees on the highway from Panchasar leading to Shankheshwar. These trees can live for 200 to 500 years and provide a shaded path for our Sadhu bhagwants, generate oxygen, cool the surroundings, and bring much-needed rains in that arid region.

You can support the plantation of 10 trees for just $500
