PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Sadharmik brothers and sisters,
Jai Jinendra!

Sadharmik Bhakti is an integral and unique feature of Jain tradition and has a far deeper meaning and significance. This being one of our duties, I urge every one of you to donate generously to JAINA Sadharmik Bhakti Fund to help the needy and the poor Sadharmik Jain families in India. The donations we receive will be sent through reputable NGOs with proper FCRA documentation. To donate, please click on Sadharmik Bhakti Fund Button given below.

AN APPEAL TO ALL

COVID-19 has caused devastating effects all over the world.
Many Jain families in India are also affected...

  • A 68-year-old shravak working as a night watchman to support his household with two grandchildren and a daughter-in-law because his 30-year-old son passed away

  • A shop owner, who once was a Sanghpathi & viewed as well off, not being able to afford a bag of groceries.

Shri Parshvanath Presidential Chair in Jain Studies’ Inaugural Lecture in Ethical Innovations
University of California, Irvine invites you to attend the virtual inaugural of UCI Shri Parshvanath Ethical Innovations Lecture. The topic of the lecture would be ‘Alternatives to Animal Testing: From Organs on Chips to Functional Chip Systems’

Don Ingber's team is creating organs on chips that mimic the dynamic physical environment, movements, and interactions of actual bodily organs, which can then be linked together in functional systems. This innovation promises to speed regulatory approval and decrease animal models. Students, faculty, and friends in humanities, medicine, engineering, and biosciences and beyond, are invited to join this multidisciplinary conversation.

Attend the webinar on Sunday, Nov 11, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. (PT) | Register here for the webinar link.

Questions and discussion will be moderated by UCI faculty Brian Cummings (School of Medicine) and Brianne Donaldson (School of Humanities).
