JAINA Women’s committee is happy to share a few highlights from their recent achievements. Lately, the committee is focussing on improving the social, educational & spiritual well-being of all the women from our community and beyond, regardless of age/status through their informative seminars.
Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington is building a 30,000 sq. ft. Jain Center with separate Shwetambar and Digambar Shikharbandhi Derasar featuring 41-inch Shankheshwar Parshwanath Bhagwan Pratimaji and 41-inch Adinath Bhagwan Pratimaji as Moolnayaks respectively. Bharai Labh for both the Moolnayaks are open.Please find more details below.
Jain Study Center of Northern Carolina continues to be a proud participant in the 2022 Crop Hunger Walk. Last year, the center raised over $3,600. This year, the center is aiming to become the top fundraiser by getting to $5,000 and 75 walkers. JAINA gives the best wishes to JSCNC for their goal and encourages Jain centers to organize/participate in more such community activities
On September 16-17, the Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago had a Raas-Garba Utsav. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the center members.
So far, the JAINA Jivdaya Committee has received a total of $50000 for the Gurudev Chitrabhanu Memorial Panjarapole project. We are grateful to the Jain centers and community members for your donation. While we are still seeking support for this new Panjarapol in taking care of animals, fodder storage, sheds, and more. Please make your generous donation at the link below and encourage others to do so.

JAINA Tapasya Ni Sanji
|

JAINA had a successful virtual ‘Tapasya Ni Sanji’ on September 17, 2022, which was participated by 1000+ attendees. The Sanji was organized offering an anumodna of all the Tapasvis for doing Tap this Paryushan and Das Lakshana Parva 2022. The event started with Acharya Shri Ratnasundersurishwarji explaining the importance of Tap. followed by beautiful Sanji songs, anumodna, and a short lecture by Shri Namramuni Maharaj Saheb. Both the Acharyas praised JAINA’s Jivadaya project for a new Panjarapole near Sankheswara in the memory of Gurudev Shri Chitrabhanuji’s 100th Birth Anniversary. JAINA President Haresh Shah, while sending anumodna to all Tapasvis, said “These Tapascharyas assure us that Jainism is vibrant and will continue to flourish in North America”. JAINA Women’s committee is doing amazing work focusing on improving the social, educational & spiritual well-being of all the women from our community and beyond, regardless of age/status. They would like to share some highlights:
This year, several different initiatives were undertaken, such as hosting Quarterly conferences, monthly sessions covering various topics, etc. The topic for the Quarterly conference seminar was Cryptocurrency and it was a huge success. Additionally, JWC also hosted monthly sessions empowering women on being financially literate covering topics related to personal finance financial planning to investment. Some of the individual topics covered so far. Finance 101, Budgeting, Calculating your Net worth, Money mistakes to avoid, etc. They are soon be starting with monthly digital literacy sessions covering various topics such as Social Media awareness, Gaming, Digital healthcare, and awareness of Computer Security to name a few.

Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington
Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington (JSMW) is building a 30,000 sq. ft. Jain Center with separate Shwetambar and Digambar Shikharbandhi Derasar. Shwetambar Derasar will feature 41-inch (plus 10-inch Fanaa) Shankheshwar Parshwanath Bhagwan Pratimaji as Moolnayak. Digambar Derasar will feature 41-inch Adinath Bhagwan Pratimaji as Moolnayak. Instead of offering the Bharai Labh by Gheeboli (which generally goes for $200K to $500K ), JSMW has decided to allow Samuhik Bharai for both Moolnayak Pratimaji at a nominal donation of only $5001 per family.
A limited number of Labhs are remaining for both Pratimajis and will be available on a first come first served basis. Bharai Labh for Shwetambar Moolnayak is open only until the Anjan Shalaka program, scheduled on November 29, 2022, in Koba, Gujarat. Bharai Labh for Digambar Moolnayak is open until Panch Kalyanak Vidhi (Tentatively planned on January 15, 2023). Bharai sponsors will be recognized on a digital board (up to 3 words plus one “&” symbol). Do not miss this golden opportunity of taking Moolnayak Bharai (sponsoring Pratimaji) Labh, which offers great Punya and is available for only $5001. On September 16 and 17 the Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago had a Raas-Garba Utsav. They had amazing nights of Dandiya Dhamal and Bollywood beats to the tunes of the Pandya group. The center members enjoyed Music, Garba and Food.

Gurudev Chitrabhanu Memorial Panjarapole
JAINA is immensely grateful for the ongoing support from Jain centers and the community to the Gurudev Chitrabhanu Memorial Panjarapole.
The project is led by the JAINA Jivdaya committee that aims to raise $125000 for this noble project. So far we have received:
- $10,000 from Jain Center of South Florida
- $10,000 from Jain center of Greater Atlanta
- $5,000 from Jain Center of Northern California
- $5,000 from Jain Center of Greater Detroit
- $5,000 from Dr. Avani Sheth and Nigam Sheth, Oklahoma City
- $5,000 from Cherry Hill Sangh
- Several $1000 checks
Totaling to $50000
Additional pledges of $25,000 are in the process of approval.
JAINA requests each center to come forward to donate to this noble project which will be able to shelter and manage 700-750 animals, 6 sheds, and one storage facility for fodder storage, with more land for future development.
