JainGPT: Enabling Exploration of Jain Literature With More Convenience
JainGPT (jaingpt.org) is a Jain literature semantic search engine created by former YJA board member (Anish Visaria) in coordination with the Jain eLibrary.
In this latest phase of this project, they have successfully processed an extensive corpus of over 100,000 pages of literature files. The result of this effort has been the implementation of a robust semantic search capability, akin to the remarkable capabilities demonstrated by OpenAI's ChatGPT. This enables users to search and comprehend the actual meanings within the text.
Please be aware that, at present, the system primarily supports queries in the English language. For non-English languages, such as Hindi or Gujarati, the response will redirect you to the Jain Quantum (jainqq.org) search engine, as English queries yield the most accurate semantic meanings at this time.
Please try it out and let us know what you think!
Over the past few years, Anish Visaria has been extensively involved in YJA and JAINA Education. Recently, he created JainGPT, which enables semantic search over Jain literature. In August 2020, Anish built Jain Quantum (https://jainqq.org/), which has since been used by over 470,000+ users across 62 countries. He also served as Director of Technology on the 2019-20 YJA Executive Board and as Registration and Technology Co-lead for both the 2020 and 2022 YJA Convention Committees. He currently serves as Director of Innovation for Jain eLibrary (https://jainelibrary.org/).
