Dear Sadharmik brothers and sisters,
Jai Jinendra!
All Jain Centers must have celebrated Paryushan Parva and Das Lakshan Parva with a lot of devotion. This year, due to COVID -19,
JAINA had set up daily virtual lectures, Samvantsari Pratikraman, and virtual Anumodna Bhakti for the community to take laabh.
JAINA also sent daily newsletters with religious articles. I am happy to say that it was well appreciated by the community.
JAINA expresses a lot of Anumodna to all the Tapasvis.
During the last year and during Paryushan Parva or Daslakshan Parva, if we have hurt your feelings through our communication, emails, talks, social media, conversations, perceptions, actions, or inactions, knowingly or unknowingly, we on behalf of JAINA EC and JAINA BOD ask your forgiveness with an open mind and a loving heart.

The COVID-19 Jain Mental Health Survey
 Thank you to those who have taken the COVID-19 Jain Mental Health Survey. The survey has a Patient Health questionnaire and a General Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,
which will help to understand the state of mental health in a population.
JAINA encourages you to take this survey if you haven’t taken it yet. You can also share it with your family and friends. The purpose of this survey is

 Jain Center
of Greater Phoenix celebrated a virtual Paryushan 2020 where they noticed the fullest participation from the center members. All events were telecasted live either
on YouTube or Zoom Webinar.
The spiritual activities included morning and evening aarti, evening Pratikramans, Snatra puja, Shanti Kalash and Sapna Vidhi celebrations.
The community also participated in the below events:
- Ashtaprakaari Puja with Kids
- In Communion with Jainism - a presentation by Youth about fundamentals of Jainism like 9 Tattvas, Journey of the Soul, the Karma Theory.
- Chaitya Paripati - Pathshala kids presenting their video explaining the significance of tirth and building a model using legos and other home items.

Jain Society of Houston is presenting Tapasya ni Saanji (Jain Dayro) on Saturday, September 5,
2020 at 8:30 PM CST/ 9:30 PM EST to do anumodana of all our Tapasvis. This year we had many Tapasya in Houston area.
We are inviting a team of famous and versatile singers from India for virtual bhakti bhavna. This will be LIVE
on Youtube so, requesting all the Jain Sanghs of America to join to do anumodana of all the Tapasvis.

JAINA Pathashala Books Price Reduced by 50% - Till September 20, 2020
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, JAINA Education Committee has observed that many parents have started the Jain Pathashala at their home to teach Jainism to their children.
To support the effort of home school Pathashala of these parents, the Education Committee decided to reduce the price of the Pathashala books by 50% for
the USA and Canadian customers for about the next one month from August 25, 2020, to September 30, 2020. Any customer of the USA and Canada can take the benefit
of this offer. (Canada customers pay very high postage charges unless the books are shipped to a USA address).
Also, If you do not have the budget to buy the Pathashala books of this reduced price, please reach out to
jainaedu@jainelibrary.org, we will find the sponsor and ship the books to you.
