universal motto. "Love all serve all"! Today, with over 350 centres
worldwide, including four abroad in USA, Australia & UK, the organization
boasts of a committed member base of 8500 that are holding the beacon high.
Mahavir International Delhi center,
registered in 1979 under the Societies Act 1860, has been the torch bearer of
the apex body since its inception. With the underlying objective of serving the
humanity at large, Mahavir International Delhi took upon itself the challenge
to specialize in & provide quality Eye Care & Health care to the poor
& needy strata of society who can ill afford these basic rights.
The organization has been steadfastly working
in this direction, and constantly innovating to reach their desired objectives.
Today, Mahavir International Delhi is running 5 hospitals with 2 ultra modern
eye operation theatres and 3 dispensaries in backward area with excellent team
of doctors, Para-medical staff and state-of-the-art facilities for eye care
which are comparable to even the best of private hospitals & certainly a
first among charitable ones. To further its service & reach, the
organization conducts a large no. of eye camps & runs several mobile Medicare
vans in far flung areas & JJ clusters.
International is committed to provide quality eye care to the needy
underprivileged people of Delhi without any caste or religious bias. It is
running 5 fully equipped charitable hospitals in different parts of the capital
where patients get free treatment, medicines & spectacles etc. To fulfil
its dream & vision of making Delhi a 'Cataract Free Zone', the organization
also conducts free eye & cataract operations at its flagship Rajdhani
hospital and Kishwarna Charitable Centre, which have modern Operation Theatres
equipped with the latest state of the art equipment and services which are
comparable to even the best of private hospitals. It also has advanced
facilities for detection & treatment of Glaucoma (Kala Motia).
organization has also been part of various Delhi govt. programmes over the
years, for eye screening & check-ups of students, pensioners, Tihar Jail
inmates among others. Regular eye camps are also organized at various places
for check-up & treatment of various eye ailments. Till date, over 10,700
cataract surgeries with IOL implants and eye sight of over 200 persons restored
through eye donations and cornea transplants and over 16 lakh patients have

International Delhi is also providing integrated medical services at our 5
hospitals including Eye Care, Heart Care, Allopathy, ENT, Physiotherapy, Gynaecology,
Homeopathy and Ayurveda, Acupressure, Refraction / PMT, with well equipped
& modernized diagnostic laboratory they are also running 2 dispensaries at
organizing Free Eye & Medical check-up camps and running Mobile Medicare
units to provide free medical facilities & distribute free medicines to
poor residents of far flung areas & JJ clusters at their doorsteps. So far,
with more than 550 Health/Eye check-up programs organised, over 16 lakh persons
have benefited from these initiatives.
EYE PLEDGES & DONATIONS
another step closer to realizing its dream of providing 'Sight to all', Mahavir
International Delhi had launched yet another initiative, Eye Donation Pledges
& mobilized a host of people from all walks of life including prominent
personalities like Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh & his troupe, sitar maestro
Shujaat Khan, model Joey Mathew, Avinash Kaur Sareen, Cricketer Saba Karim, Ms.
Geetika Ganjoo, Hindi Poet Sh. Ashok Chakradhar, Poonam Azad have pledged their
eyes so far.

after death have provided sight to 200 blind people.
There are a
lot of needy meritorious students coming to Delhi for competitive exams or
pursuing higher studies who cannot afford the expenses of the capital. To
facilitate these students to achieve their career goals, Mahavir International
Delhi has set up a hostel at the premises of Rajdhani hospital at Nabi Karim.
The students are provided lodging & boarding, nutritious home cooked meals,
along with library facilities & telephone access at very nominal charges. 5
students have qualified IAS examination and 8 Students have qualified CA Exam
who were staying in our hostel.
