Arriving and Departing
If the arrival/departure times are going to be an issue for you because of work, school, etc. please contact email@example.com BEFORE you register. We can work with your schedules!
To ensure that everyone has a great time, some ground rules:
1) Be respectful of all other attendees and help provide an open space for dialogue.
2) Absolutely no alcohol/drug consumption or smoking will be permitted.
3) Inappropriate conduct will result in severe consequences.
How long are we going to be in sessions?
Most sessions will be between 45 and 60 minutes long. There will be ample time in between sessions for a quick snack and a restroom break.
What if I have to leave during the retreat?
Sorry, guys, for your safety, we’d like to ask you to remain on the premises for the duration of the conference unless authorized to do so by the YJA Executive Board. If you do leave, we won’t be able to let you back in. In case of emergencies, attendees can receive permission from the YJA Executive Board to leave the retreat.
What kind of clothes do I need to bring?
The average temperature during early November in this part of Georgia is in the mid-60’s, but nights will get chilly. The cabins are on a state park with several beautiful trails and outdoor ball fields, so bring clothing appropriate for outdoor games and hiking. Otherwise it’s up to you, but just remember to keep your clothes kosher and appropriate for a YJA retreat.
What does registration cost cover?
The registration cost includes lodging, food, educational materials, and souvenirs.
Will I need to bring extra spending money?
You won't need any money at the retreat itself, but we recommend bringing extra money in case carpools stop for food on their way to the park.
Will there be any doctors on site?
There will not be any doctors on site but safety is a priority, and if anything goes wrong, medical attention is only a few minutes away.
This retreat will be a TON of fun with great participation and your enthusiastic attendance. If you have any questions, please contact Jinen Shah at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you there!
