Typhoon Haiyan Victim Relief Fund » Donate Online
The World Commmunity Services (WCS) of Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) has launched "Typhoon Haiyan Victim’s Relief Fund” to raise funds to help the victims of this disaster. Super Typhoon Haiyan came ashore late Friday, November 8th2013 as a Category 5 storm with winds of over 140 mph, hitting the Philippines, Tacloban area.

Young Jains of America (“YJA”) was first established in 1991, and held its first youth convention in 1994. Over the past 14 years, Jain youth have accomplished a great deal and become an integral piece of the future of Jainism. YJA is an entity of JAINA and puts emphasis on projects relating to Jain youth from ages 14-29. Currently, YJA is planning its 11th biennial youth convention which will be held in Washington D.C. during the summer of 2014.

Over the past 20 years and 10 conventions, Jain youth have accomplished a great deal and are paving the road for the future of Jainism. From New England to California, YJA has worked diligently to bring together youth from across the world to help strengthen the bonds that tie our community together. Our main goal is to save animals from the slaughter house, and to provide nutrition, water, and healthcare for animals staying in panjarapoles. The Jivdaya committee also helps to build new sheds and to maintain existing sheds of panjarapoles. Each year, the Jivdaya committee receives appeals from panjarapoles all across India.
