Our main goal is to save animals from the slaughter house, and to provide nutrition, water, and healthcare for animals staying in panjarapoles. The Jivdaya committee also helps to build new sheds and to maintain existing sheds of panjarapoles. Each year, the Jivdaya committee receives appeals from panjarapoles all across India.

This year’s calendar takes us on a Yatra of 12 architecturally important Jain Temples and Jain Tirths dispersed throughout India, depicting the richness and vastness of Jain culture across the Indian sub-continent. Many of the Jain Temples featured in this year’s calendar are newly constructed or renovated in the last 50 years. Young Jains of America (“YJA”) was first established in 1991, and held its first youth convention in 1994. Over the past 14 years, Jain youth have accomplished a great deal and become an integral piece of the future of Jainism. YJA is an entity of JAINA and puts emphasis on projects relating to Jain youth from ages 14-29. Currently, YJA is planning its 11th biennial youth convention which will be held in Washington D.C. during the summer of 2014.

Hurricane Harvey Victims Relief Fund » Donate Online

Over this week, Hurricane Harvey dumped couple of feet of rain over parts of east Texas and its blistering winds destroyed buildings, boats and homes standing in its path. The hurricane brought winds, storm surge and heavy rain. Now we’re going to deal with 50 inches of flooding, basically turning the entire southeast portion of the state into an inland lake. We’re going to deal with rivers out of their banks for weeks, massive destruction, and structural damage to homes.

JAINA will be hosting 19th Biennial JAINA Convention during June 30 to July 4, 2017 at NJ Convention & Expo Center, Edison, NJ. This is the biggest event of JAINA held every two years and attended by nearly 5000-6000 people from all walks of life and many countries.
