YJA organization membership mgm. needs for JainLink

YJA Needs  (this was a discussion between Sonia, Chandra, and Yogendra)

1.       Introduce  JainLink

2.       YJA Needs

3.       Membership Management

a.       Currently managing multiple lists

b.      Don't have list of all members

c.       Members are changing – age is changing

d.      New members arriving from India – have no means to go / and who to contact

e.      Effort to take to manage members

4.       Portal for how Jain youths can help and be more active

a.       Easily post projects

b.      Leverage community / projects which are on-going

c.       Get on-line donations for projects

d.      Promote projects

e.      Get blog going / promote those projects

5.       Donations

a.       Increase donations by sharing / directing donations to particular projects

b.      This year YJA wants to have a fund raising program (accrue some interest)

6.       Other Needs

a.       News and Events

b.      Regional conferences

                                                               i.      Add YJA as a community and subscribe to regional coordinators

                                                             ii.      Help them coordinate

c.       # regions: 6 (ask during registration which region they belong to)

d.      Current: Using Facebooks is the way to connect

e.      YJA newsletter…

f.        Pass a message – new emagazine has been published

g.       Campus outreach communities

7.       Integrating YJA website with JainLink

a.       Currently revamping the website – page

b.      How to do it such that strong integration can take place

c.       Putting JainLink on YJA website

d.      Describe JainLink and various groups
